Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a friendly atmosphere where customers feel valued by addressing inquiries about our products.
  • Acquire thorough knowledge of department merchandise to provide informed recommendations.
  • Efficiently label, stock, and manage inventory for optimum presentation.
  • Communicate any discrepancies in product ordering or shipping to the department manager.
  • Stay informed on current, upcoming, and promotional sales to assist customers effectively.
  • Adhere to scheduled operating hours and comply with all health and safety regulations.
  • Exemplify excellent customer service and maintain a clean, organized department.
  • Utilize creative merchandising strategies to enhance product displays.
  • Ensure displays are adequately stocked and well-maintained as per department standards.
  • Monitor product arrival dates and maintain workload to meet production deadlines.
  • Implement all company policies regarding merchandising, customer service, and safety.
  • Encourage sales through proactive intercom announcements.
  • Reinforce safety protocols and report any unsafe conditions to management.
  • Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting necessary repairs.
  • Alert management in the event of customer or employee accidents.
  • Notify about safety risks or illegal activities, including theft or fraud.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the position.
  • Basic math skills: counting, addition, and subtraction.

Desired:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in a second language: speaking, reading, or writing.
