Responsibilities

  • Support company health and wellness initiatives.
  • Understand and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations and our company policies.
  • Maintain an active national and/or state registration, certification, or license as required.
  • Assist the pharmacist with all duties except those that require professional judgment.
  • Deliver a stellar customer experience by accurately completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing efficiently.
  • Contribute to the ongoing training of clerks and/or technicians.
  • Compound medications in accordance with state regulations.
  • Conduct post-fill audits to ensure prescription information matches our records.
  • Facilitate non-dispensing services through various platforms and applications.
  • Perform all aspects of CLIA-waived screenings as permitted by law and policy.
  • Offer additional health and wellness services approved by state regulations.
  • Adhere to and promote sanitation and safety guidelines as per health codes; promptly report unsafe conditions to store management.
  • Follow local, state, and federal regulations, reporting any illegal activity including theft and fraud.
  • Be prepared to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

Minimum

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Able to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Completion of national registration, certification, or licensure.

Desired

  • Relevant previous experience.
  • Equivalent experience as a pharmacy technician.
