About the role:

We are seeking a dynamic Client Relationship Manager for our growing CAAS practice. CAAS provides customized accounting support on an interim and project basis for our clients—including public, private, and non-profit entities ranging from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies. As a Client Relationship Manager, you will:

  • Expand and nurture existing client relationships while building a robust network to attract new connections in the community.
  • Collaborate closely with the Managing Principal and our Outsourcing Client Service Team to enhance business and service offerings.
  • Identify opportunities, tackle challenges, and close deals with strategically targeted accounts.
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales approach for new accounts, create engaging client presentations, and represent CLA at local and regional networking events.
  • Efficiently manage ongoing projects to meet and exceed client expectations.
  • Track business development targets and sales activities within our CRM system.

What you will need:

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, including positions as a Big Four Audit Manager or similar roles in public accounting along with industry experience.
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field is required.
  • CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A strong client service orientation, proven relationship-building capabilities, and enthusiasm for participating in business development initiatives.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to earn the trust and respect of senior executives and colleagues.

We offer competitive wages and view compensation as an investment in our people, with factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge influencing pay levels. The compensation range for this position in California is: $182,200 - $306,000.
