CNC Machinist II/III

This position is with a growing Aerospace and Electronics company globally known for being a true industry leader. They are working on some really exciting projects including parts and components for the James Web Telescope, the Mars Rover, the DART mission, and more.
If you have previous CNC Mill or CNC Lathe set-up and operation experience, and a drive to learn and grow with a company long-term, this position could be the perfect fit.
CNC Machinist II/III Responsibilities:
- Understand work orders, blueprints, manufacturing orders, and machining parameters
- Maintain specifications; Troubleshoot, detect malfunctions and take appropriate actions; Know when to replace worn tools
- Listen to machine operation in order to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and compensate for problems
- Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments, templates, fixtures and knowledge of GDT standards
- Maintain continuity among shifts by documenting and communicating actions taken thus far as well as any necessary further steps
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday
- 1st shift: 6:00am - 3:00pm
- 2nd shift: 2:00pm - 10:30pm
CNC Machinist II/III Requirements:
- 3+ years of CNC Machining experience including full set-up and operation
- Knowledge of various inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and height gages
- Understanding of cutting tool Geometry, Geometric Dimensional Tolerancing, and tooling and coordination
- Highschool Diploma or GED
Compensation:
- $34 - $46/hr.
- +$2/hr. shift differential for 2nd shift
