Department Overview:

The Case Management Office (CMO) belongs to the Intake & Agency Reporting Team in the Compliance Excellence organization. Our mission is to foster a compliance culture that not only meets but exceeds regulatory expectations in safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction. The CMO oversees case leads to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality responses to regulatory agencies. This role reports directly to the Manager of the CMO.

Position Summary:

The Compliance and Risk Consultant provides expert guidance for the formulation of responses and approvals from various functional areas and leaders concerning complex, confidential, and restricted inquiries related to data and reporting. Responsibilities span multiple agencies, laws, regulations, and customer complaints. This position supports the Senior Manager of Intake & Agency Reporting with compliance management workflows, daily reporting, and initiatives within the Compliance Excellence Continuous Improvement Program.

This role is hybrid, requiring a presence in the Oakland General Office (OGO) three times a week on Tuesdays.

Salary Range:

PG&E offers a competitive salary based on multiple factors, including experience and internal equity. The estimated salary for this position is:
Bay Area Minimum: $122,000
Bay Area Mid: $158,000
Bay Area Maximum: $194,000
California Minimum: $116,000
California Mid: $150,000
California Maximum: $184,000

This position is also eligible for PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate the preparation of responses to regulatory inquiries, audits, investigations, and data requests.
  • Consult with internal and external groups to ensure compliance containment and countermeasures are effectively applied, while promoting best practices in compliance management.
  • Conduct compliance discovery and research to analyze past responses, identify trends, and assess risks.
  • Manage a case hub for filing and record-keeping processes that include all relevant cases, materials, correspondence, and documentation.
  • Update leadership on changes to compliance requirements, metrics, and program effectiveness.
  • Critically evaluate responses to inquiries, ensuring commitments are documented and validated during the development process.
  • Provide advice and coaching on case management, response quality, and the timelines for compliance deliverables.
  • May serve as a team lead without direct reports.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 7 years of relevant job-related experience
  • 4+ years managing compliance/risk programs or controls

Desired:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification
