Job Description

First Tech, one of the largest credit union's in the US, is seeking a dynamic Indirect Lending Processing Manager to continue our history of success in this space. We are seeking a seasoned lending operations leader to positively coach & guide employees through continual professional growth with high levels of performance. The right candidate will have an insatiable desire to improve processes, eliminate friction and improve experiences for our employees, dealer partners and members. This leader will continual collaborate with peers within Indirect Lending, externally within the credit union and externally with vendors, dealers and other industry partners.

Job Duties
  • Build a strong cohesive team and create a healthy and productive work environment
  • Look at alternative organization structures, team configurations, and work arrangements to facilitate a high performance team
  • Lead a team of high-performing and engaged employees through effective people leadership practices including regular communication of performance expectations and feedback to employees to maintain high team performance; provide coaching and corrective action as required; actively support employee professional growth and development
  • Meet or exceed the objectives set for accuracy and volume of loan package review and funding as well as meet or exceed established service level and business unit strategic goals
  • Continuously develop strategies and measurements to reduce funding timelines while increasing efficiencies and accuracy that result in legally compliant and binding loan contracts
  • Assess varied situations for associated risk and implement proper resolutions based upon current risk tolerances
  • Oversee new development, testing, implementation of new tools, products, pricing and special projects
  • Lead projects that focus on streamlining, "rethinking" how we process loans through automation, outsourcing, partnerships, simplification
  • Participate in cross functional teams to provide optimum internal support and represent consumer lending on enterprise efforts and special projects
  • Continuously update guides, policies & procedures while documenting new and existing process procedures as needed

Essential Skills
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in consumer lending, including 2 years in a leadership role
  • Proven people management skills, adept at providing frequent and positive performance feedback to develop and guide employees
  • Ability to coordinate a variety of activities and projects and prioritize work under tight deadlines
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills; ability to resolve complex issues with minimal direction
  • Ability to leverage key performance metrics and data to provide insights and make strategic business recommendations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to express ideas concisely and logically
  • Ability to foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Comprehensive understanding of loan contracts including APR, amortization schedules, simple interest calculations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of consumer lending regulations including Reg Z, Reg. B, Truth in Lending, FCRA, FACTA and MLA
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required
