Key Responsibilities
As a Dining Services Coordinator, you will deliver a top-notch dining experience by welcoming and seating residents and guests, guiding the dining services staff in the Manager's absence, and ensuring a welcoming and clean dining atmosphere. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Manager with daily supervision of dining associates.
- Ensuring the dining room opens and closes smoothly and overseeing room service orders.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and inspecting work for completion.
- Adhering to safety and sanitation protocols.
- Planning daily menus according to company standards.
- Ensuring adequate staffing coverage and making adjustments as needed.
- Creating weekly schedules with budget compliance alongside the Dining Room Manager.
- Supporting service staff during meals as needed.
- Overseeing special events and assisting with resident billing.
- Participating in the hiring, training, and disciplinary processes for staff.
- Cultivating solid working relationships with other departments to ensure seamless service for residents.

Qualifications
We require a high school diploma (or equivalent) plus a one-year certificate from a college or technical school preferred. A minimum of one to two years of relevant experience, with prior supervisory experience being advantageous.
Certifications
Must possess current ServSafe Certification and any required local, state, or county food handling/sanitation licenses.
Skills and Abilities
Able to utilize sound judgment and problem-solving abilities, effectively communicate in English, and maintain an upbeat, friendly disposition. This role requires a passion for working with older adults, and the capability of prolonged standing and walking.
This position can involve physical activities such as lifting, climbing, and situational exposure to health hazards, and it requires handling various responsibilities.
