Director of Pharmacy

Heritage Oaks Hospital

Sacramento, CA

As a CPS Director of Pharmacy we'll rely on you to oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling and supervising activities in the hospital pharmacy according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and State and Federal laws. You'll recommend innovations in the practice and function of the hospital pharmacy to Administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs. You'll need the ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns in addition to the ability to work cooperatively with other members of CPS and hospital and pharmacy staff.

About the Facility: Heritage Oaks Hospital is a leader in psychiatric and addiction treatment. Located in Sacramento, the hospital offers 125 inpatient beds in a beautiful, state-of-the art facility. The Pharmacy is open from 6:30am-2:30pm weekdays and 7:00am-11:00am weekends with hours subject to change with business needs. Heritage Oaks has partnered with CPS to manage the day to day pharmacy operations. All Pharmacy staff are employees of CPS.

Required Qualifications:

* PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy
* Current California Pharmacist license in good standing.
* 4+ years experience as a pharmacist in a hospital or retail setting
* Experience in Pharmacy management
* Residency a plus

Hospital Requirements:

* (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
* (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
* Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving immunity
* HepB Titer
* TDaP Titer
* Physical examination within one week of employment
* Proof of completed Covid-19 vaccination or documentation noting the approved exemption
