With the work of the remarkable staff at this facility, the hospital has been recognized and awarded by The Joint Commission for quality and safety-of-care for patients.
The Director will be supported by an experienced Emergency Department Manager, several CEN Supervisors, and an amazing and focused staff of ED Charge Nurses and RN's. The Director will report to a tenured Chief Nursing Officer who is supportive and engaged in the success of the Emergency Department.
The Emergency Department Nurse Director will lead a fast-paced 28-bed department and oversee 50 FTEs. The hospital also offers trauma care that the Nurse Director will manage and triage patients to. The Director will also form interdepartmental relations within the hospital in order to ensure a smooth transition for patients when being admitted to the hospital and with laboratory staff as well to ensure lab results are delivered promptly.
As a clinical leader, the Emergency Department Nurse Director will ensure high quality, safe, and appropriate patient care is performed on a daily basis in this fast-paced and high-pressure environment. The Director will also work closely with Emergency Department and Trauma Clinical Educators to ensure the department staff is following and maintaining standard procedures and policies. With great experience and leadership skills, the Director will lead initiatives to decrease Left Without Being Seen (LWBS) rates and maximize productivity and workflow.
