Job Description:

Join CDM Smith as an Industrial Project Leader in our dynamic Industrial Division, where you will lead engineering teams on vital design projects. This role encompasses consulting, engineering, design-build, and EPC projects across various sectors, including T&D, substation, generation, civil works, geothermal, geotechnical, water/wastewater, remediation, and environmental projects throughout the US. In this position, you will contribute to CDM Smith's mission by:

  • Overseeing multiple small to large, complex engineering projects in the Industrial Market from initial concept development through detailed design and into construction support.
  • Leading a team to develop project scope, schedule, and budget in coordination with our Sales Leader and marketing team for proposal development.
  • Managing a multi-discipline engineering and compliance team to ensure that all deliverables are met on time and within budget.
  • Maintaining quality control, managing risk, schedules, and change management processes.
  • Mentoring and leading multi-discipline project teams, fostering growth and leadership among members.
  • Engaging in technical problem-solving with a diverse team of engineers.
  • Providing guidance and ensuring adherence to discipline and quality standards at the project level.
  • Acting as the primary contact and liaison for clients during project execution, focused on delivering an exceptional client experience.
  • Identifying and pursuing opportunities with existing clients by expanding service offerings.
  • Applying your expertise and innovative solutions to complex problems, in collaboration with the engineering team.
  • Collaborating with lead practitioners, quality managers, and key technical specialists to ensure project success.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of related experience.
  • Required PMP (PMI), CCM, or DBIA certification (must be achieved within 12 months of hire/promotion).
  • Travel may be necessary, both domestic and international, depending on project demands.
  • Equivalent additional directly related experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Experience managing facility infrastructure and/or environmental projects for chemicals or manufacturing clients.
  • Demonstrated success in managing engineering design packages for construction.
  • Proficient in managing project scope, schedules, and budgets.
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying project findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Pay Range: $120,973 - $211,723

Additional Compensation: All bonuses are discretionary.
