The Lead Business Intelligence Engineer tackles intricate business challenges by harnessing data from various sources to deliver vital insights to decision-makers. You will work on moderately complex to complex issues, requiring thorough analysis and evaluation of numerous variables. Reporting to the Business Intelligence Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in driving departmental strategy.

Your expertise will guide the selection of tools and methodologies used to transform data into impactful insights, empowering you to make strategic decisions regarding project components with minimal oversight. You will have the latitude to define your goals and approaches to tasks.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in data analysis or a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience.

  • Proven experience handling large and complex data sets in large organizations.

  • Strong analytical skills to address business challenges and create data visualizations that inform strategic decisions.

  • Familiarity with Healthcare-related data is essential.

  • A passion for enhancing consumer experiences within an organization is required.

  • Experience with Star Schema and Source of Truth methodologies is important.

  • Availability to work within the EST time zone is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Advanced skills in SQL, SAS, and other data management systems.

  • Experience with visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Qlik.

  • Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and predictive modeling.

  • Experience in developing analytics solutions across various healthcare sectors.

Travel Requirements

While this role is primarily remote, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Working Hours

40 hours per week

Salary Range

The estimated starting salary for this full-time position is between $89,000 and $121,400 annually, depending on various factors such as location and individual qualifications.

This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan tied to both company and individual performance.
