Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY: Provide operational and program management support for Goodwill Industries of the Columbia Willamette (GICW) Marketing Services Department. Develop, implement, and monitor department processes and policies; support market research and elements of strategic divisional and corporate planning projects. Provide research and other project support for market assessments and President Office.


Essential Functions: Must demonstrate willingness and ability to adhere to all GICW's policies and procedures, CARF standards, Kaizen guidelines, safety and security regulations, foster and demonstrate a positive team environment, and provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.


· Develop, implement, and monitor department processes and policies with support of Senior Marketing Services Manager. Research and incorporate GICW, Goodwill Industries International (GII), and other best business practices into divisional processes.

· Develop and maintain information files of all department projects and outside vendor work; ensure data backup processes in place.

· Office duties include: purchase and inventory office supplies; generate and review purchase orders; coordination with vendors.

· Assist Senior Marketing Services manager with the management of projects as appropriate.

· Assist Senior Marketing Services manager with GICW policies and procedures related to CARF standards, safety and security regulations.

· Assist Senior Marketing Services manager in bi-annual GICW Market Research Quantitative and Ethnographic Study.

· Develop and maintain Archive Management System.


· Key department owner for business planning process dates and gates; responsible for compilation of final corporate business plan, annual and mid-year planned giving materials.

· Support planning process including market research, data analysis, and market research reviews.

· Assists in preparing a variety of written documents including study plans, special and regular reports, systems and organizational analyses and work flow charts.

· Key point of contact and manager for budget/financial issues.

· Support Brand Impressions project with key operational and marketing staff.

Web Site Management

· Update the GICW section of the GII website (store and ADC site locations).

· Assist Communications Manager in website and social media maintenance as appropriate.

Market Research

· Conduct demographic and market research, analyze information, prepare reports/maps and design documents for the CEO, directors, coworkers and fellow Goodwill organizations.

· GII ASR support - Conduct research on behalf of the President.

Project Management

· Complete fund reports and grant applications, as requested. Support award submissions; maintain records of applications and content for use in awards/grants (ongoing).

· Research programs beneficial for future accreditation and career progression.

· Coordinate special projects, including Annual Service Awards, holiday dinners and Goodwill Cares.

· Facilitate grand opening plan and coordinate activities, such as direct mailings.

· Coordinate gift acknowledgements.
