We are currently seeking a Skilled Occupational Therapist to join a respected skilled nursing facility in Salinas, CA. Surrounded by the stunning landscapes of Monterey County, Salinas offers an incredible setting, just a short drive from Carmel, Big Sur, and the scenic Monterey Bay, making it a memorable place to work and live.

Key Role Details:

  • Start Date: Flexible
  • Weekly Salary: Up to $2,196
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks
  • Contract Type: Travel, Permanent, or Travel-to-Perm
  • Schedule Options: Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed resident evaluations and create personalized OT treatment plans.
  • Provide expert therapy to promote independence in daily activities.
  • Manage care for residents with orthopedic, neurological, and post-acute rehabilitation needs.
  • Guide residents in adaptive techniques and the appropriate use of assistive devices.
  • Collaborate effectively with nursing and rehabilitation staff for integrated care.
  • Communicate treatment objectives and discharge plans with residents and their families.
  • Ensure precise documentation of assessments, daily progress, and therapy notes.
  • Monitor resident outcomes and adjust interventions for optimal effectiveness.
  • Adhere to facility standards and all relevant state regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Active Occupational Therapist license in California.
  • Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in post-acute rehabilitation, ADL retraining, and adaptive equipment usage.
  • Proficient in assessing, developing, and executing individualized treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational and documentation capabilities.
