Responsibilities

  • Foster trust and respect among team members.
  • Ensure customers feel welcome and valued by answering product-related questions.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceutical products to effectively discuss with customers and prescribers.
  • Provide drug counseling and recommendations for over-the-counter medications.
  • Accurately input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy system.
  • Dispense medications correctly and bag filled prescriptions for accurate delivery to customers.
  • Process third-party insurance information and facilitate charge purchases for customers.
  • Communicate with prescribers' offices for necessary authorizations.
  • Interpret oral and written prescriptions accurately for filling and refilling.
  • Assist in cleaning and organizing the department.
  • Administer immunizations under pharmacist supervision.
  • Review and stock incoming orders accurately.
  • Return unused medication stock bottles to inventory.
  • Report accidents and incidents to management promptly.
  • Notify the pharmacist of prescription incidents and report safety risks or illegal activities.
  • Perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a US pharmacy school.
  • Holding a valid state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
