If this excites you - keep reading.DURING YOUR INTERNSHIP YOU CAN EXPECT:To be placed on one of our confidential or public X projectsTo get paid competitively and with Google benefitsTo be part of a lively community of other Interns and ResidentsTo addend colloquium and discussions with team leads from across Google, DeepMind and external organizationsDETAILS:Location: X's headquarters in Mountain View, CAStart Date(s): Year-round rolling basisDuration: a flexible 4 mo. to 1 year program based on project team needs and your availabilityREQUIREMENTS:Must be enrolled in an academic program and working towards completing a PhD degreeWHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON:Analyze control algorithms for performance and efficiency.Develop mathematical models for computational complexity.Prototype code optimized for our virtualized compute platform.Collaborate with team to build a roadmap for system optimization.Having fun is required!MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Currently enrolled in a Ph.D program in computer science, electrical engineering, or mathematics.Completed coursework algorithms, complexity and computer architecture.Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages, including but not limited to: Golang, C, Python, etc.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge in ARM architecture.Field Programmable Field Arrays (FPGA) / SystemVerilog.Experience with SIMD and OpenCL.Strong prototyping skills.
