JOB TITLE: Plasma Center Assistant Manager
ESTIMATED SALARY RANGE: $62.5K - $93.5K per year, based on training, education, and experience. This position is also eligible for up to 20% of the company bonus pool.
POSITION SUMMARY:
In this role, you will assist in the management of a Plasma Collection Center while ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations, and contribute to the center's performance and profitability. You may act independently to manage the center during the absence of the Center Manager.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take charge of all center operations in the absence of the Center Manager.
- Foster a positive organizational environment that boosts employee morale and productivity.
- Collaborate with training and quality teams to achieve goals.
- Provide constructive feedback to Operations Supervisors to guide employee development.
- Monitor operations and work with the Center Manager on action plans for enhanced efficiency.
- Oversee all personnel functions including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Guide Training Coordinators in employee training initiatives.
- Assist in budget preparation and oversee the center to achieve production and quality objectives.
- Review and approve work schedules to support optimal donor cycles.
- Delegate, monitor, and hold Operations Supervisors accountable for performance.
- Directly supervise employees, ensuring productive and effective operations.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate with vendors for necessary supplies.
- Ensure that the facility and equipment are well-maintained and in operational condition.
- Oversee freezer management, including plasma shipments and responding to equipment alarms.
- Generate accurate reports as required for center operations.
- Implement donor recruitment campaigns to boost donation levels.
- Maintain compliance with regulations and safety standards.
- Build relationships with donors to promote long-term donation commitment.
- Manage the financial records related to donor funds.
- Communicate any irregularities with action plans to improve deficiencies.
- Analyze risks and implement corrective actions for safety concerns.
- Supervise outside vendors and ensure their performance aligns with expectations.
- Oversee special projects to ensure accuracy and completion.
- Engage with the community to reflect the donor center's mission.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Science, Business, Nursing, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
- At least 2 years of related experience in a clinical or general business setting.
- Supervisory experience is preferred.
- Experience in a medical or cGMP regulated environment is advantageous.
- Experience with plasma or whole blood collection is a plus.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Developing leadership, organizational, customer service, and communication skills. Ability to assess and comprehend FDA regulations and maintain quality standards in plasma collection. Capability to motivate staff towards achieving performance goals.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position may involve working in an office and/or laboratory environment, exposing employees to various biological materials and hazardous conditions. Protective equipment is required. Duties may involve light to moderate lifting and require effective communication and coordination with diverse teams.
