The right candidate will have hands-on experience using or building agricultural software systems and have in-depth knowledge in the areas of agronomy, precision agriculture, soil sampling, soil health & fertility and production agriculture.

In addition to having the experiences above, the right candidate needs to be an excellent communicator and team player with a passion for developing new and innovative ways of solving customer problems in agriculture and food industries.


Here's how

  • Manage the software product lifecycle for enterprise and grower solutions
  • Document product functionality requirements and support development stakeholders
  • Manage long term product roadmap that drives customer value through innovation
  • Collaborate across global teams to document market needs and help prioritize solutions
  • Work directly with customers and internal sources for customer feedback
  • Serve as subject matter expert for the agronomic capabilities of the product
  • Manage product financials and support product growth


What you bring to this role:

  • Possess a thorough understanding of agricultural production processes and practices
  • Ability to prioritize across and effectively manage multiple work streams
  • Ability to build appropriate rapport and influence others through collaborative and effective relationships with peers, executives, and customers
  • Excellent planning, time management, communication (verbal and written), presentation and organizational skills
  • Solid analytical skills for assessing financial performance and user adoption

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Four-year degree required with a preference in Agronomy or Technology
  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience with agricultural software solutions
  • Familiarity with farm management solutions or other ag software technology
  • Experience in software product management processes and tools (JIRA, Trello, Aha)
  • Competency with modern office productivity applications (Google Docs, Keynote, etc.)
  • Previous experience with geospatial data and GIS applications
  • Familiarity with web and mobile software applications

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as crop protection labels and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to present complex concepts with simplicity and impact

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Ability to create subscriber and revenue forecast models

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to make independent decisions conceptualizing implications for the company.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Possession of a valid driver's license and proof of liability insurance on personal auto.
  • Must be insurable at all times.
