Job Description

The Refind Closet, founded in 2019, is a premier location for indulging in the world of designer resale.

We take immense pride in our exquisite collection of women's designer clothing and accessories, carefully curated from some of the most coveted closets across the country. Though we have a physical location in Seattle, Washington, we are known for our unique live shows (currently, we livestream 6 days per week) with an audience from around the country. In addition, thanks to our relationships with designers around the United States, our audience gets the opportunity to hear directly from these industry icons during live shows.

We are at a pivotal growth stage and hiring several additional team members, with Retail Associate - Consignor Relations Specialist being one of them. Prior experience in vintage and/or luxury sales (mandatory) plus your love and knowledge of fashion, combined with your exceptional attention to detail and work ethic, will help set you up for success in this role. You will manage and be responsible for assessing all of the items ("intake") that our consignors would like to resell. Your combined skills/experience in current market trends, understanding our audience, the relevance and appropriateness of intake items, and pricing, will allow you to communicate (and educate) our consignors on why the result might be "we'd love these items" or "we're going to pass" and why. Always accompanying both those messages is gratitude. We love our shoppers and consignors equally!

As a subject-matter expert, you will be responsible for staying abreast of trends, pricing, designers, and you'll share your knowledge during weekly team and staff meetings. You'll bring your passion and expertise for the luxury consignment market to The Refind Closet and you'll translate that into an exceptional experience for our consignors, your direct team, and all other teammates at The Refind Closet.

Deliverables you'll be measured on:

  • Facilitate luxury consignment office appointments, working directly with consignors to provide a relaxed mutually experience that educates them on the value of their consignment items.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of pricing trends and the sell-through velocity of their respective category in our marketplace.
  • Keep up to date with changes and trends in the luxury market; understand authentication and brand compliance standards.
  • Communicate pricing and authentication methodologies in person and through email, text, and phone.
  • Be accountable for the conversion rate of appointments to consignments and eventually, sell-through.
  • AND, if you'd also love to help style outfits - for both our Live Shows and clients who want assistance creating outfits/looks - that is an added bonus!

Experience you'll bring to the team:

  • Ideally, a Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Merchandising, or Apparel.
  • Ideally, 3+ years experience working in the luxury space in a customer facing role.
  • Sales and/or customer service experience is mandatory.
  • Passion for delivering an exceptional experience for our consignors each and every day.
  • Knowledge of designer/luxury pricing and authenticity standards.
  • Polished, professional presentation and communication skills towards employees and consignors.
  • Ability to handle multiple, complex, and/or time-sensitive situations.
  • Exceptional communicator (both verbal and written) - you understand the power and importance of building and maintaining relationship vs. transactional selling.
  • The skill and willingness to take initiative and to proactively anticipate organizational needs, including the ability to meet external and internal deadlines as required.
  • Ability to foresee and proactively address potential obstacles well in advance of intake shipment arrivals, and the ability to problem solve, sometimes instantaneously, to ensure proper execution of the valuation processes

Schedule Requirement & Wage:

  • On-site, Tuesday through Saturday, 40 hours/week (some flexibility with specific hours each day).
  • Hourly wage.

Benefits/opportunities we'll provide:

  • Opportunity to join a team of other fashion/customer service-oriented, like minded individuals with more than 30+ years combined retail experience.
  • Quarterly performance reviews.
  • Career growth opportunities.

Please apply for this opportunity by sending your resume careers@. Please also include a brief note on your prior experience with vintage and/or luxury sales. Thank you so much - we look forward to hearing from you!
