Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Sales Engineering Expert to collaborate with Account Executives in enhancing partnerships and fostering direct sales to drive revenue growth for our Mainframe division.

As a Sales Engineering Expert at Rocket Software, you will leverage your extensive experience in enterprise software sales to lead technical discussions, advance software opportunities, and close deals effectively. You will thrive in a collaborative environment while also showcasing your independent problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand customer challenges and deliver clear, value-driven solutions without technical jargon.

  • Present compelling demonstrations and solutions to clients and partners, with or without sales support.

  • Guide partners through every stage of the sales process.

  • Communicate technical details effectively to both non-technical and technical audiences, building trust with all stakeholders.

  • Assess and qualify business opportunities by understanding user requirements and technical environments.

  • Provide mentorship to partners and peers on software components, design techniques, and delivery methodologies.

  • Handle objections with professionalism; respond to questions promptly and clearly; and address challenges assertively.

  • Manage your assignments and administrative responsibilities efficiently, juggling multiple projects from inception to completion.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in software sales, with a minimum of 8 years in a similar sales engineering role.

  • Preferred experience with AMC Enterprise Software and/or Mainframe Modernization.

  • Strong knowledge of Assembler coding and proficiency in modernization techniques, including transitioning Assembler code to COBOL and JAVA.

  • Exceptional problem-solving and requirements-gathering skills.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication capabilities.

  • Proactive and motivated, willing to tackle diverse tasks to meet business needs.

  • Detail-oriented with a quick aptitude for new concepts and technologies.

  • Able to work independently while knowing when to seek team support.

  • Skilled in prioritizing and managing workloads to meet deadlines.

  • Comfortable navigating a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.

The expected salary for this position ranges from $128,925 to $162,350 annually. Compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and location.
