Job Description

The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for supporting Faithlife's digital, UX/UI, marketing, and brand identity design needs in order to ensure the end product meets the consumer's needs in the best way possible. The position requires an innovative senior web/digital/identity designer that can research, concept, lead, design, and present ideas at the highest creative levels and across the church products line of business. They will be able to apply design thinking to problem solving, and will work collaboratively with a Creative Director, Art Director, Copywriter, and Marketing to present work with sound strategic reasoning and strong creative rationale. The senior position can foster growth within themselves, and other team membersMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES+ Be a Brand ambassador+ Build an expert understanding of all touchpoints across the entire customer journey.+ Be accountable for the leadership and direction of the creative process and customer experience.+ Lead research, conceptual development and design strategy on web design and ecommerce projects.+ Able to build and maintain web design systems; utilizing style guides, asset libraries, components and templates+ Creating satisfying and compelling experiences on our sites, with a focus on reshaping the customer experience to maximize conversions.+ Advocate for aesthetic AND utility to be held in the proper balance within a tech company.+ Question everything in an effort to understand the problems you're solving.+ Strengthen the ties between Design and Technology as we position ourselves to work more quickly and efficiently as a department-work close with Developers, understand limitations, and utilize tools for efficiency + Determining customer goals and defining the customer interactions necessary to achieve them+ Compiling user, business and technical requirements to create site information architecture+ Understand and execute the technical requirements needed for production-ready visual assets for responsive web environments, & print+ Collaborate with other design team members on tasks, projects, and initiatives.+ Collaborate with Creative Director and/or Art Director in the production and implementation of all projects assigned.+ Communicate and collaborate cross-departmentally with developers, marketers, and writers on a variety of projects.+ Conceptual exploration, including drawing, sketching, research for design projects - and ability to effectively execute.Requirements+ Proven graphic design experience in web design, print and environmental design with excellent typography skills.+ Examples of marketing webpage interfaces and experience with design for e-commerce. + 5+ years in the design field+ Demonstrated design skills with a solid portfolio+ Ability to communicate and present ideas+ Good understanding of brand identity design+ Good understanding of HTML & CSS.+ Good understanding of print production+ On top of the latest trends, techniques, and technologies in the graphic design space+ Up to date with industry leading software (Adobe CC, Sketch, Figma (or other prototyping apps), and/or other current design tools.)+ Ability to ask the right questions to best understand design problems being solved for+ Able to give and receive and critique constructively+ Able to lead other designers+ Able to receive instruction+ Professionalism regarding time, costs, and deadlines+ Work in a variety of mediums / disciplines with the drive to learn more and do more.+ Experience designing for Salesforce is a plusTO BE A PROPER FIT AT FAITHLIFE YOU WILL:+ Need to have a basic understanding of the Christian church market.+ Understand and interact with technology.+ Have the ability to thrive in a high energy workplace. + Adapt to ever changing priorities+ Have a growth mindset
