Our department’s vision is to cultivate a growth minded organization that develops people, processes, and leadership in pursuit of A Better Way.*In this role, you will have the opportunity to:** Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to incorporate human factors, user experience and customer feedback into product definitions and designs.* Lead product development teams to design studies that assess usability risk and provide knowledge on human behaviors to optimize products and services. Oversee multiple products.* Apply the latest in data science techniques to collect and analyze user feedback. Apply your knowledge of Machine learning and natural language processing to provide detailed findings.* Develop and learn new technologies and techniques to apply data and AI to business and user-facing problems.* Identify Danaher and Cepheid best practices, standardize and install such benchmarks across departments, organizations, and global sites.*The essential requirements of the job include:** Bachelor’s degree Human Factors Engineering (HFE), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Systems Engineering, Cognitive Psychology, or related field with 8+ years of related work experience OR Master’s degree in field with 6+ years of related work experience OR Doctoral degree in field with 3+ years of work experience.* Experience as a lead HFE or similar role.* Experience using Python or other tools to perform Natural Language Processing or Machine Learning on large sets of user data.*It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:** Expert knowledge of worldwide human factors publications, standards, and both cognitive & physical heuristics (IEC 62366, AAMI HE75, FDA Applying Human Factors and Usability Engineering to Medical Devices).Cepheid, a Danaher company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives.
