As a Technical Program Manager on Media Infrastructure, you will work with various Instagram product teams to assess product needs and drive evolution of the platform to allow Instagram to ship innovative products that delight our users. In this role, you will also collaborate with teams across Facebook to develop the long-term vision and roadmap for shared services and to bootstrap new programs that enhance our ability to ensure that people creating and viewing images and videos on Instagram have a great experience. Lastly, you will drive infrastructure modernization programs in the media stack, efficiently balancing new product needs with long-term investments in building scalable infrastructure.The right candidate will be an excellent communicator, knowledgeable in product infrastructure in the image/video domain, passionate building scalable service, comfortable in a flat, fast moving organization, excited to innovate on existing solutions, and focused squarely on impacting the Instagram product and business.**Required Skills:** 1. Articulate the technology, requirements, goals and milestones of your team2. Build subject matter expertise in your area and stay up to date on technological developments3. Ability to travel to other offices 4-6 times a year**Minimum Qualifications:** 10. B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience11. 7+ years of software engineering, systems engineering or technical product/program management experience12. Experience delivering tech programs or products from inception to delivery13. Knowledge of user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope14. Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership15. Communication experience and experience working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products16. Organizational, coordination and multi-tasking experience17. Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems18. Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones**Preferred Qualifications:** 19. Experience with external facing production systems for high traffic websites and services20.
