Guardian Security Systems, Inc. is seeking and VP of Finance, IT and Internal Operations!


Guardian Security Systems, Inc. is the largest independent fire and security alarm company in Washington. The company is headquartered in the Sodo neighborhood of Seattle, WA with branch offices in Bellingham, Tacoma, and Yakima.


The VP of Finance, IT and Internal Operations will be an integral part of the future of this business. The individual will work closely with the president and work closely with the leadership team to move the business forward and lead in a way that is true to Guardian's core values: We believe that good business can also do good. It is part of our day-to-day mission to protect, serve, and care for our employees, customers, and the environment. Reporting to the President and working closely with the entire management team, this position supports and provides accountability for all departments and operational aspects of the organization.


Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Strategy and Organizational Leadership. This individual will lead strategic growth efforts by collaborating on major organizational decisions as well as overseeing project management, planning, budgeting and annual goals;
  • Finance, Budget and Risk Management. Overseeing the organization's financial structure and accounting system, this position will manage the accounting team and budget and financial matters, as well as managing growth and profitability and oversee contract management and negotiation;
  • IT Operations and Warehouse.
  • Team Leadership and Performance. This person will lead strategic planning and implementation as well as coaching and mentoring department leaders.


The ideal candidate will be an experienced and business-savvy executive who will partner with the company President and assist in evaluation and prioritization of projects and opportunities. This person will embrace a "servant leader" approach and be able to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, bringing out the best in the team and supporting a collaborative culture. They will have proven analytic and strategic thinking skills, as well as flexibility and adaptability. They will be able to communicate effectively and build trust at all levels of the organization.


Must have a bachelor's degree in a related field and 10+ years' experience in related roles, or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA and CPA preferred. Significant senior leadership experience required, managing multiple groups across various disciplines. Must have experience in contract negotiations. Leadership background in Finance/Accounting required; leadership in IT strongly preferred.
